Adaptive PE

April 30, 2014

During this last semester the life skills adaptive PE class has worked on many different skills.  Playing anything from kickball, pickle ball, wallie ball, badminton, and relay games the students are busy working on hand-eye coordination.  My goal of adaptive PE is to create an environment that is enriching and motivating to all my students at all levels and abilities.  I believe that Physical Education is a part of the total school curriculum that focuses on the physical development of the student, while working on emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the students.  The class has continued to work on social skills by working with other homerooms through cooperative games, sportsmanship, and teamwork.  As the year comes to an end we plan on trying to go fishing and doing other life skills students can do outside the classroom setting.
