Biology with Mr. Connot

February 3, 2014

Currently in Mr. Connot's Biology classes, we are studying sexual and asexual reproduction.  The students were divided into groups and were instructed to defend their assigned type of reproduction.  They were asked to examine which method produced the most offspring and gave them the best chance for survival.  Students from each side debated over which method was the most efficient.  At the end of each round, points were awarded to the winning side.  Depending on the strength of their argument, we had a variety of winners in each class.  The Reproduction Debate allowed students to hear how their fellow classmates understood and explained the different methods of reproduction.
