Celebrate with us!!!

"Learning Never Ends! - Celebrating Lifelong Learners" is the theme for the End of the Year Academic Pep Rally at the Lexington High School, May 7th at 1:45 p.m.

When preparing for the rally, it is obvious that math is essential to reveal the achievements of every student. Thanks to the generosity of the Lexington Foundation, Lexington High School has the privilege to recognize the hard work and dedication of its students.

Grade Checks were done on a weekly basis to calculate the Destination: Graduation Academic Team score averages, bringing accountability to the students' commitment to academic excellence and also revealing the academic concerns as well.

At the end of 3rd quarter and now the end of the 2nd semester, extra-curricular activities, attendance and behavior scores are being totaled, along with the grades, to emphasize these very important dimensions of the high school experience.

On May 7th at the Academic Pep Rally, with the scores tallied, the winners will be revealed. Every student involved with one or more extracurricular activities, every student that has perfect attendance, and every student earning A's and B's will be recognized, along with several other wonderful achievements of our Lexington High School students.

The top final score average of all the Academic Teams will bring out the Semester II Academic Team Champions.

The seniors that are graduating on schedule this year are eligible, within their Academic Team group, to receive laptops purchased by the Lexington Foundation. Having the best graduation rate in their Academic Team determines the winners. If there is a tie, the laptops will be awarded to the seniors on the Academic Team with the highest senior grade point average.

All seniors that are graduating on schedule will have their names put in a drawing to receive one of several Cash Cards, also donated by the Lexington Foundation.

That is lots of math and lots of reasons to celebrate!

You are all invited to celebrate our lifelong learners at the Academic Pep Rally on May 7th at 1:45 in the West Gym at Lexington High School.
