History and Government at LHS

November 25, 2013

Currently in my classroom we are studying a variety of different topics.  In the American History I ECT class (our class for ELL students transitioning into regular classes), we are looking at the numerous events that led to the American Civil War.  The students in the American History II CT class are studying World War II right now.  This is such a great unit because of all the different video clips that can be used to show students what our soldiers faced when fighting either the Germans or the Japanese.  The only hard part is choosing which clips to watch!  The honors students in World History have just finished up our discussion about the Reformation.  Finally, the students in American Government CT are finishing up their unit on the legislative branch so that we can move on to the presidency and the executive branch.  We're busy to say the least!
