The Lexington High School Athletic Program has started a new program this year designed to encourage athletic teams to support other athletic teams throughout the year and build pride for the schools while promoting leadership among student athletes in the classroom, school, district and community.  One part of this program is to highlight those student athletes who do exceptional acts in the classroom that set them apart from the rest.  Their teachers have the opportunity to deem them "Leaders of Champions" in the classroom.  Bi-weekly "Leaders of Champions" are identified by their teachers and their picture is taken and hung in the school cafeteria for all students to see.

The first group of "Leaders of Champions" are as follows:

Left to Right: Eric Covarrubias (10th Grade), Joelly Anderson (11th), Justina Hoisington (10th), Tomas Margritz (9), Jonathan Godinez (12), Jonas Martin (10)
