MAP Testing Finishes Strongly

October 13, 2011

For the past two weeks students at LHS have been focusing on improving their MAP scores in reading and math.  The MAP test stands for Measure of Academic Progress, which shows how students progress from year to year in reading and math.

The MAP test is used for student class placement and shows teachers were their students are so that they can plan their lessons to help students improve their skills.  During parent teacher conferences, the MAP test results will be available for parents or guardians to see how their student is performing.  They will also be used to goal set with the students so that they can take an active role in their education.
