Strength Training

The students in strength training continue to work on their lifting programs as well as conditioning.  The students participate in strength training 3 days a week and have conditioning 1-2 days a week.  Lately, the students have also been listening to lectures regarding nutrition.  Students are learning about basic principals of nutrition including calories, energy sources, portion control, diets, energy balance, and information about the food groups.  The students are also listening to information about obesity along with the risks and illnesses associated with being obese.  During class the students have also been completing writing assignments that go along with the lectures.  Students also have been reflecting on their goals from the beginning of the semester.  In a few weeks students will begin being tested on their strength and agility tests.
