WHAT TO EXPECT AT PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

October 26, 2011

Hello parents and students!  Parent/Teacher Conferences are approaching quickly and many of you want to know what to expect when you come.  Hopefully, I can help you.

When you come to conferences, go to the gymnasium.  Stop at the table by the door to get a nametag and your child's list of teachers.  It is helpful if you put your name and your child's name on your nametag.  Interpreters will be standing nearby if you would like one. Visit any or all of your child's teachers.  We are seated alphabetically in rows.

Some questions you might want to ask are:

1.  What skills will my child need to learn in your class?

2.  What skills does my child need to work on and how can I help?

3.  How is my child behaving?  Is he/she respectful?  Does he/she seem happy and have friends?

4.  Is my child completing classwork/homework?

5.  What is the best way to contact you?

We sincerely want you to come to conferences and share in your child's progress at school.  Together, we can ensure his/her success!  SEE YOU ON OCTOBER 27TH!
