What is happening in Ms. Klein's Room?

Applied science is off to a fast start.  Students will be covering Life Science Standards this semester in preparation for the NeSA science test they will take when they are juniors.  Some of the topics being covered include classification, cells, heredity, diversity of life, ecology, and natural resources.  It is important students attend class every day so they do not fall behind.  If a student is going to be gone, it is important he/she finishes his/her work before he/she leaves.

Chemistry is just finishing up their study of stoichiometry, a favorite topic of chemistry students throughout history.  Students had an opportunity to practice their time management skills as they were given three days to accomplish three different labs.  The next topic up on the agenda is Hess's Law.  Honors chemistry has started their second book of the school year.  Alchemy of Air by Thomas Hager is about the development of the Haber-Bosch process which allowed the carrying capacity of the Earth to go from less than 2 billion people to a seemingly limitless number.
