English Language Proficiency Assessment

February 25, 2016

Starting at the beginning of February, our English Language Learners have been participating in the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA).  This is a switch from previous years where students were assessed using the English Language Development Assessment (ELDA).  Like the ELDA, the ELPA assessment measures student’s English language proficiency in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and comprehension.  The computer based ELPA assessment was designed to be more interactive for students and more efficient in collecting student data.  We are looking forward to receiving and viewing our student’s results soon!
