Journalism Classes with Mrs. Brockmoller

November 17, 2015

We did it again. The 2015-2016 yearbook is beginning to take shape. Staffers are working on their fall sports spreads. Yet, once again after looking at the page designs the students have determined our layouts are not contest quality. Therefore it is back to the drawing board for the design group to infuse the theme “Can You Believe It?”  into the yearbook layouts. The staff attended the Nebraska High School Press Association Fall Convention. There they received a superior rating for the 2014-2015 yearbook. They attended sessions to help them improve the yearbook as well as connect with other journalism students across the state.

Photography students are putting together their portfolios. Their current project is working with portraits. The next project will deal with the subject of nature. Broadcasting has been working to complete videos and calendars for the TVs located around the school. The small class has found ways to become more effective at getting content on the TVs as well as improving their communication skills.

Overall the journalism classes at LHS are in full swing.
