NSAA Leadership Summit

November 20, 2015

On Tuesday, Nov. 17th, Athletic Director Phil Truax & Social Sciences teacher Eric Bell took eight Lexington High School students to Grand Island to attend the NSAA Leadership Summit at the Heartland Event Center.  Lexington was represented by: Alexis Nava, Adriana Avila, Joelly Anderson, Kobe Block, Oracio Corona, Jonas Martin, Austin Probasco, and Luis Magana.  Students had the opportunity to listen to former Nebraska Husker Aaron Davis talk about the importance of leadership in the high school setting.  In addition, there were two other speakers who spoke about the characteristics of good leaders and about having poise during their athletic competitions and while being a leader outside of those events.  These eight students have taken a leading role in creating the expectations for our LHS student section during winter sport activities.  Be prepared for creative cheers, chants, and theme nights this winter!
