Bienvenue à la classe de français.----

France has many interesting sites to see.  Presently, all French classes are learning about the modern structure of The Centre Pompidou.

The Centre Pompidou is named after former President Georges Pompidou.  According to Wikipedia, he was first Prime Minister of France from 1962-1968 and later President of France from 1969 until his death in 1974.

The Centre Pompidou looks like a large block of glass (See photo below.)  It contains a library, an art museum, and workshops for kids. It was constructed in 1977.  There are multicolored pipes on the outside of the building conducting air conditioning and water, etc. There is a fountain in front with colorful exhibits.  There are always mimes, musicians and acrobats performing in front as well.

Bonne Journée des classes de Français,

Madame Reeves
