ELL Students Learning About Native Americans & Colonies

December 11, 2018

The students in T2 History class were given the opportunity to read about, write about, take notes on, compare and contrast different regions before deciding on a region of their choice and then they needed to create a diorama of the region they chose. In making their diorama they needed to use vocabulary learned in this unit and pretend they were living in that time, they also needed to show: what types of homes they lived in, what was their source/method for food and survival just to name a few. Upon completion they had to write 20 sentences that went with their dioramas and present it to the class. This was a great unit where they had the chance to read, write, speak and listen in English to build those skills.
