Hello all from Mr. Woodrum's Classes!

March 30, 2017

In our American History sections we have been lucky enough to enjoy the extended creativity of Mr. Bauer, the student teacher.  He has been a wonderful asset in coming up with different projects to help the students teach one another the subject matter in the form of creating iMovies about the great inventions of the late 1800s and creating presentations about different immigrant groups during the late 1800s and early 1900s.  We have been lucky to have a young, technologically based student teacher grow before our eyes!

In the Sociology of the Family class, we have been working through learning the positives and negatives of conflict resolution.  They will be performing small group skits on how best to handle different scenarios and how conflict can get in the way of resolution in those scenarios.

I would like to give a special shout out to my Foundations of Leadership freshmen crew who blew me away working with elementary schoolers who visited as they shared about the country of Greece.  They made me more proud than I could have imagined!

Last, the Girls Tennis team has been off to a wonderful start to the spring season.  We still have 47, you read that correctly, girls who have come out to enjoy the tennis team.  Many of the 47 had not played tennis before and are absorbing the game by the day!  If you get the chance, come out in full support of Maids Tennis during our home invites on April 6th and April 11th.

Mr. Bauer and I look very forward to continuing to serve the students and finishing the school year stronger than we started.
