Learning to Read in English

September 6, 2018

ELL students are getting into a routine with the school year underway. The ELL classes had an upgrade of the reading curriculum that we use and students are adjusting well. They have the opportunity of a blocked class that gives them the opportunity to rotate through 4 different groups daily.  We begin with a whole group lesson, then we move through these four stations: computers – on the software, Language for Learning, small group instruction, and Decodable Digest/Library books. Many students have shown growth and we look forward to the growth that will be made over the school year.
