Spanish Students going to Europe in the summer of 2020

September 6, 2019

The Spanish department has made arrangements for the first-time ever trip to Europe in the summer of 2020.  Students taking a Spanish or French class are eligible to apply until we reach the limit of 15 travelers.  This one-week adventure will begin on June 27, 2020 with departure from the Omaha Airport.  The first destination will be Paris, France. We will visit the main attractions of the city including, the Eiffel Tower and the Mona Lisa. After three days in beautiful Paris we will take a train to the Coast City of Barcelona, Spain. While in Barcelona, students will get an opportunity to admire the Sagrada Familia Church by Gaudi, and the Colombus Monument.

Traveling students have been actively participating in different fundraiser activities to help themselves cover their traveling expenses. Eventually, students will have monthly meetings to start checking for their important documents such as their passport.

The Spanish department has the goal of giving the traveling students an opportunity to travel and explore the world and to learn about how people live in other countries. Students will gain a valuable cultural understanding along with great lifetime experiences. We look forward to the amazing experiences of this trip!
