Triangle Congruencies

October 9, 2018

This week in Mrs. Sund’s Geometry classes we are learning about ways triangles can be congruent. So far students have learned side-angle-side (SAS), angle-side-angle (ASA), and side-side-side (SSS).  By the end of the week the students will learn two more ways triangles can be congruent.  Students will learn angle-angle-side (AAS) and hypotenuse-leg (HL).  In my co-taught Geometry classes we made a foldable to help the students remember the differences between all the ways triangles can be congruent. Inside the foldable students have written the definitions and examples for each way triangles can be congruent.  Below is the picture of the foldable.
