Winner Winner Yearbook Earns A Chicken Dinner

December 13, 2016

One hundred dollars has been awarded to the LHS yearbook staff for being one of the five schools that won the 2016 Share-a-bration contest put on by the publisher Walsworth yearbooks. National Yearbook Week ran from October 5th-9th. During the week, Walsworth challenged the schools they work with to post photos to tell them how they have been marketing their yearbook this year. The more creative the campaign and the tactics the better, so the challenge was accepted by the LHS marketing team. During the week the staff used cupcakes to market the yearbook. Signs read buy a cupcake get a yearbook free. Cupcakes were sold for forty dollars. So far this year the staff has sold over fifty yearbooks. The marketing staff took pictures of their cupcakes and signs and tagged them  #NYW2016. This month our yearbook representative, Keith McCoy presented the staff with a gift card, a letter from Walsworth President Don Walsworth, and a 2016 Shar-a-bration Contest Winner certificate. This win for the yearbook staff has ignited our marketing team and has pushed our yearbook staff to make an even better yearbook.
