Digitalized Timelines

April 19, 2017

Students in 7th grade are getting the chance to go digital with history.  Timeline JS by knight lab allows students to create beautiful timelines.  Using a Google spreadsheet, students insert their dates, headlines, event details, and then digital content.  Students were extra creative in finding ancient Roman videos, .gif images (images that move), pictures and even tweets, to put inside their timeline.  A final nice added touch was their use of computer color-coding to change the background colors of their timelines.  The final Google spreadsheet was then published and put to knight lab’s open source tool that created the final digitalized timeline.  Check them out!
