Middle School Wrestling

The Lexington Middle School wrestling team started practice on October 25th with fifty student athletes. The young grapplers started out with the basics, a good stance, single and double leg takedowns,stand-ups,and sit-outs from the down position. Spiral rides and chop and jam for breakdowns. As of December 6th there are forty seven wrestlers still on the team and these wrestlers have wrestled a total of 316 matches in four meets. With four meets remaining on the schedule, the wrestlers continue to improve on their technique and are working towards the team goal of winning the most medals at the Lexington Invite (our last meet of the year) on December 17th.
